The old wedge and lace jig never fails, even with small instrument backs made from many pieces. Simple rosette clamp made from chipboard with parcel tape on face to avoid adhesion to the soundboard.
Soundboard bracing for left and right handed classical guitars. A thicknessing gauge is good, but when you can see through it, things are about right. A 1911 Edwardian gentleman’s treadle lathe, used for making boxwood bridge pins for the Gothic harp. Flamed cherry is a good, sustainable alternative to endangered species
Classical guitar in padouk and spruce; a move towards non-threatened, sustainable timbers. Classical guitar in the style of Martin c. 1880, with bridge in the style of Panormo. For fun. Salon guitar “in the French style.” Maple and spruce. A seven-course lute in the style (approximately) of Georg Gerle, 1580. The original probably would have been made from maple, but rosewood looks good.

Cutaway classical in rosewood and spruce.
